Relief support to internally displaced persons with disabilities (PWD) in Manipur.

Kwairakpam Budhinanda, a disabled activist along with volunteers from Matai Society, has effectively distributed winter materials to about 30 individuals with disabilities (including those who are blind, locomotor challenges, hearing impairments, and have intellectual disabilities) among the Internally Displaced Persons in Takyel and various camps in Bishnupur District.

The Good Quest Foundation provided the crucial financial support for this initiative.

Budhinanda said “Among the most affected by the conflict since May 3rd are the marginalized differently-abled communities. I deeply appreciate the dedication of volunteers and individuals in the relief camp for their care, but many people with disabilities have chosen to reside in their relatives' or rented houses due to difficulties accessing facilities like washrooms and other daily necessities. I appeal to those concerned and people worldwide to support individuals with disabilities and promote their inclusion as integral members of society.”
